The school year was a success, a first for me in a few years. Challenges were welcome as I learned the Arizona art curriculum as well as fine tuned my language arts instruction to meet the needs of students who did not meet standards on their state assessments the previous spring. I had a wonderful group of students in my language classes and hope they feel as if they've learned a lot this year.
In art I revised and edited my lesson plans over and over again and still feel I have a long way to go, but also made a lot of progress. I may have have learned more than the kids.
I completed all my classes at Pima Community College to get my art endorsement. What a huge relief! One more online class this summer to become ESI endorsed and then I'll be current with everything the state is currently requiring!
